Pochettino extends contract as US national team coach until 2030

The US Soccer Federation has officially announced the extension of Argentine Mauricio Pochettino's contract as head coach of the men's national team until 2030, ensuring his continued leadership in the coming years.

In a statement, the federation said Pochettino, who took charge of the team in September 2024, will continue in his role under the new agreement. He previously led the United States during preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which was co-hosted by the US, Canada, and Mexico.

Under Pochettino's guidance, the US team reached the Round of 16 at the tournament, after which both parties agreed to extend his contract through 2030.

According to the new deal, Pochettino's responsibilities will go beyond coaching the senior team. He and his staff will also contribute to the development of American soccer by advising the federation on national team programs, youth football, coach training, collaboration with professional leagues, and other technical aspects of the sport in the United States.
