Al-Taawoun advance to King’s Cup last 16 with 3-0 win over Damac

Al-Taawoun advanced to the round of 16 in the King’s Cup after a convincing 3-0 victory over hosts Damac on Thursday evening at Damac Club Stadium in Khamis Mushait, in the round of 32 of the tournament.

Moroccan striker Abderrazak Hamdallah opened the scoring for Al-Taawoun from the penalty spot in first-half stoppage time (45+1), giving his side a 1-0 lead at the break.

In the second half, Rakan Al-Tulayhi doubled Al-Taawoun’s advantage in the 55th minute, before Saif Rajab added a third in the 77th minute to seal a comprehensive win.

The result sees Al-Taawoun book their place in the last 16 of the King’s Cup, while Damac exit the competition at the round of 32 stage.
