Sport Minister Emphasizes Saudi Arabia's Excellence in Organizing Major Sporting Events

Minister of Sport and Chairman of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal stressed the Kingdom’s excellence in organizing the largest sporting events and activities.

This came on the occasion of the 2024 Formula 1 stc Saudi Arabian Grand Prix within the second round of this year’s Formula 1 World Championship, slated to be held in Jeddah Corniche Circuit this evening as the Kingdom hosts this major event for the fourth time in a row, from March 7 to 9, 2024, as part of the calendar of global activities and events.

He said, "We are proud to host Formula 1 competitions again, and this confirms the Kingdom’s distinction in organizing the largest sporting events and activities, as such unpreceded progress is due to unremitting support and follow-up from the Saudi wise leadership.

President of the Saudi Automobile & Motorcycle Federation (SAMF) and Saudi Motorsport Company (SMC) Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdullah bin Faisal praised the return of the Formula 1 championship to the Kingdom, noting that Jeddah hosting this major sports event for the fourth time in a row confirms the great and pioneering status that the Kingdom has reached in the global sports scene in accordance with the goals of the Saudi Vision 2030.

He added, "The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has become a leading global destination in hosting the largest international events and tournaments."
