Saudi motorsport icon Yazeed Al-Rajhi regained the lead in the overall drivers' standings in the World Cup for Short Desert Rally "Cross Country Baja" after topping Baja Italia 2021, the eighth round of the World Cup for Short Desert Rally.

He achieved first place in the overall drivers' standings with a time of 5.02.47.3 hours after crossing 359.42 km using a Toyota Hilux.

With his Irish navigator Michael Orr, Al-Rajhi recorded the fastest time on the first day, "Friday", which consisted of two qualifying and special stages, crossing a total distance of 82.49 km, with a time of 1:05:23.3 hours.
