Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) Yasser bin Hassan Al-Misehal, expressed thanks and gratitude to the wise leadership for its unlimited support for the Saudi sport.
The Asian Football Federation named Saudi Arabia to host the AFC Champions League 2022 (West) Group Stage (5 groups).
In a statement, Al-Misehal valued the great effort of Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Sports and Chairman of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, who provided all support to facilitate the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s hosting of the AFC Champions League Group Stage for the second year in a row.
He stressed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's hosting of the matches of the AFC Champions League (West) Group Stage reflects the great confidence of the AFC in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's capabilities to host sporting events, after the success of hosting 3 groups in the last edition, as well as hosting the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final match.
