Barcelona nears deal with Al Hilal for Joao Cancelo transfer

Spanish club Barcelona is continuing negotiations with Al Hilal over the transfer of Portuguese player Joao Cancelo, with expectations that the deal will be finalized soon.

Italian transfer market journalist Fabrizio Romano stated that talks between the two clubs remain active, noting that Cancelo is only interested in joining Barcelona.

Romano added that although the deal was not completed last July despite reports suggesting it was close, current indications suggest it is only a matter of time before an official announcement.

Joao Cancelo joined Al Hilal during the last transfer window and has since attracted ongoing interest from Barcelona to strengthen their defense.
