Portugal national team congratulates Ronaldo after goal for Al-Nassr

Portugal's national football team congratulated Cristiano Ronaldo on scoring for Al-Nassr during their 3-0 victory over Al-Driyah, sharing the message on its official social media accounts. This marked Ronaldo's first appearance on the pitch since his recent dispute with national team coach Roberto Jesus.

Ronaldo's goal was the 980th of his career, bringing him closer to the milestone of 1,000 goals. He also received the highest player rating in the Saudi Pro League match.

Previously, Ronaldo had stated he would accept any punishment from the Portuguese Football Federation amid speculation he could face a reduced suspension. He is expected to miss the upcoming UEFA Nations League matches against Denmark and Wales.

Ronaldo had left Portugal's training camp in Copenhagen in protest over coach Jesus's failure to fulfill promises made to him. He later released a lengthy statement explaining the situation and confirmed he has no plans to retire from international football at this time.
