Six Kings Slam tennis tournament to be held during Riyadh Season in October

Turki Alalshikh, chairman of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), has announced that the Six Kings Slam tennis tournament will take place as part of Riyadh Season 2026 on October 21, 22, and 24, with participation from some of the world's leading tennis stars.

The tournament will feature six of the sport’s top players, led by Italy’s Jannik Sinner, winner of the previous two editions, along with Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz, Serbia’s Novak Djokovic, Germany’s Alexander Zverev, and the United States’ Taylor Fritz. This third edition will also mark the debut of Australia’s Alex de Minaur in the competition.

The event will be broadcast globally on Netflix, reaching a wide international audience and further establishing its reputation as a premier tournament bringing together elite players.

Carlos Alcaraz said: “I am delighted to return to Riyadh for a new edition of the Six Kings Slam. The atmosphere is always exceptional, and I am proud to be part of this unique event alongside some of the world’s best players.”

Jannik Sinner expressed his happiness to return to Riyadh to defend his title, describing the tournament as outstanding with a special atmosphere, and said he is looking forward to competing again in October.

Novak Djokovic commented: “I have always received a warm welcome in Riyadh, and I am pleased to return. The Six Kings Slam has become a special event on the global tennis calendar, and I look forward to competing in front of the fans this October.”

Taylor Fritz also expressed his eagerness to return after a great experience last year, describing the tournament as exceptional and saying he is happy to compete again against the world’s best in Riyadh.

Alexander Zverev said: “The tournament continues to grow year after year, and I am excited to be part of another special edition.”

Australia’s Alex de Minaur shared his excitement for his first appearance at the Six Kings Slam, saying: “I’ve heard a lot about this tournament and look forward to experiencing its atmosphere and competing in Riyadh for the first time.”

The tournament will follow a knockout format, with winners advancing to the next round until the final. There will also be a match to determine third and fourth place. The venue will feature a fan zone offering a range of experiences and activities to enhance the visitor experience throughout the event.

The Six Kings Slam was first announced in 2024 and has held two editions so far, both won by Jannik Sinner. The tournament has attracted top-ranked players and delivered high-profile matches, helping cement its status as one of the leading tennis events on the international stage.

The tournament is part of a series of global sporting events hosted by Riyadh Season, which has strengthened Saudi Arabia’s position as a leading destination for major international sports, bringing together top athletes from various disciplines and offering comprehensive experiences for fans and visitors from inside and outside the Kingdom.
