French newspaper L'Équipe, in a special analysis, highlighted that the positioning of Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior during the game reflected a broader organizational collapse for Real Madrid, especially in the first half, when both players occupied the same attacking area.

Player positioning analysis

Mbappe played the full match, while Vinicius was substituted after 54 minutes for Yan Diomande, which the newspaper interpreted as a sign of coach Jose Mourinho's dissatisfaction with his performance.

The analysis confirmed that Mbappe and Vinicius were often found on the left side between the midfield and Atletico Madrid's penalty area, with the Brazilian winger almost absent from the right flank and only occasionally appearing in defensive areas near Marc Cucurella.
