First El Clasico of 2026-27 season set for October 25

The Spanish football league association, La Liga, has officially announced the date for the first El Clasico between Barcelona and Real Madrid in the 2026-27 season. Barcelona will host their traditional rivals at Spotify Camp Nou on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at 21:00 local time (22:00 in Saudi Arabia), as part of Matchday 10 of La Liga.

Both teams will head into the Clasico following a busy week of European fixtures. Barcelona are set to face Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League on October 20, just five days before hosting Real Madrid. Meanwhile, Real Madrid will play at home against RB Leipzig on October 21, meaning both sides will have demanding European tests ahead of their highly anticipated clash at Camp Nou.

Second Clasico date confirmed

The league also confirmed that this will not be the only meeting between the two sides this season. The return fixture is scheduled for Matchday 35 of La Liga, taking place over the weekend of May 8-9, 2027, this time at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
