Vinicius double fires Al-Fayha to 3-2 win over Abha in Saudi Pro League

Al-Fayha secured a 3-2 victory over Abha, thanks to a standout performance from new signing Lazaro Vinicius, who scored twice to lead his team to a Saudi Pro League win.

Vinicius put Al-Fayha ahead in the 32nd minute with a low shot from the edge of the box that nestled inside the far post.

He doubled the lead in the 56th minute, capitalizing on a rebound off the crossbar from a Fashion Sakala effort to slot the ball into an empty net.

Ali Jouri pulled one back for Abha six minutes from time, scoring with an overhead kick inside the penalty area.

Al-Fayha restored their two-goal cushion in the 87th minute when Abdo Yalo inadvertently turned a low cross into his own net while attempting to clear.

Abha refused to give up, with Michy Batshuayi converting a stoppage-time penalty awarded after a VAR review to make it 3-2.

Al-Fayha now have four points and move up to 11th in the Saudi Pro League standings, while Abha remain bottom with one point.
