Trabzonspor targets Al Hilal striker Darwin Nunez after Salah signing

Turkish club Trabzonspor has expressed interest in signing Uruguayan striker Darwin Nunez from Al Hilal, following its successful capture of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah.

According to Turkish broadcaster TRT Spor, Trabzonspor's management is preparing to open official talks with Al Hilal in an effort to redirect Nunez’s transfer from Besiktas to Trabzonspor, mirroring the deal for Salah.

Meanwhile, during the unveiling of new signing Leandro Trossard, Besiktas fans called on their club’s management to sign Mohamed Salah. Besiktas officials said negotiations with the Egyptian player had been progressing well, but his agent, Ramy Abbas, demanded a high commission and insisted on a salary the club was unwilling to meet.

Trabzonspor’s plans for the new season

Trabzonspor aims to leverage the Mohamed Salah deal to persuade Darwin Nunez and other players to join, as part of efforts to strengthen the squad and compete with Fenerbahce and Galatasaray for titles next season.

TRT Spor added that Trabzonspor is exploring the possibility of signing Nunez as part of its preparations to bolster the team ahead of the new campaign.
