Saudi camels lead Crown Prince Camel Festival 2026 in Taif

Saudi camels have dominated the eighth edition of the Crown Prince Camel Festival 2026, claiming first place in 131 races ahead of the event’s final day at the historic Taif Camel Racing Track.

The Saudi camels’ victories spanned 47 races in the Haqayeq category, 21 in Laqaya, 15 in Jadh'a, and 9 in Thanaya, totaling 92 races. They also won 35 races in the 'Saudi Production' category and four in the 'Camel Owners' Race.'

Emirati camels ranked second with 35 wins, followed by Qatari camels with 27. Kuwaiti and Omani camels each took three wins, while Bahraini camels secured one.

Crown Prince Camel Festival 2026

The eighth edition of the festival is held under the patronage of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman and is organized by the Saudi Camel Federation, with prize money exceeding SAR 50 million.

The festival concludes tomorrow with the final races for the 'Hail and Zamoul' categories, where anticipation is high for the awarding of the 'Bunduq' and 'Sword' prizes.
