Macron crowns 2026 Esports World Cup champion in presence of crown prince

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who also serves as prime minister, and French President Emmanuel Macron attended the closing ceremony of the 2026 Esports World Cup today in Paris.

The ceremony saw club AG.AL crowned as Esports World Cup champions, with President Macron presenting awards to the winners in France’s first time hosting the tournament.

In just three years, the Esports World Cup has become one of the most prominent global events in the esports sector, with its first two editions held in Riyadh before the third edition moved to Paris in 2026.
