Fernandes hat-trick leads Manchester United to 5-2 win over Ipswich

Bruno Fernandes led Manchester United to a commanding 5-2 victory over visiting Ipswich Town in a Premier League match at Old Trafford on Sunday evening.

Ipswich opened the scoring through Leif Davis in the 29th minute after a defensive error by the hosts, but United equalized in the 40th minute when Fernandes finished off a pass from Matheus Cunha, sending the teams into halftime level at 1-1.

Early in the second half, United took the lead in the 56th minute when Harry Maguire's shot deflected off Jacob Greaves and found the net. Fernandes then converted a penalty in the 61st minute to make it 3-1, before completing his hat-trick with a fourth goal in the 68th minute.

United continued to dominate, with Bryan Mbeumo adding a fifth goal in the 82nd minute after an assist from Fernandes. Chuba Akpom scored a late consolation for Ipswich in the 91st minute. The result sees Manchester United bounce back from their opening-round defeat to secure their first three points of the season, while Ipswich remain on three points.
