Udinese defeat Venezia to reach Coppa Italia last 16

Udinese overcame Venezia 2-1 at home on Wednesday to progress to the Coppa Italia round of 16.

Venezia took the lead in the ninth minute through Belgian defender Ritchie Sagrado.

Udinese turned the match around with two goals from Ivorian forward Festy Bayo in the 34th and 53rd minutes, securing their place in the next round, where they will meet Atalanta.

Earlier, Sassuolo also advanced to the round of 16 after defeating Frosinone 4-3 on penalties following a 1-1 draw.
