Al Hilal have finalized the signing of Brazilian forward Gabriel Martinelli, announcing on Wednesday that he has joined from Arsenal on a four-year contract.

Martinelli, 25, will begin training with Al Hilal on Thursday evening ahead of their Saudi Pro League match against Al Shabab on Friday.

The club stated that the transfer was completed by the board of Al Hilal Company, chaired by Nawaf bin Saad, with the contract signing ceremony held at the Al Majdiyah Sports Center.

Martinelli is Al Hilal’s third foreign signing of the current summer transfer window, following the arrivals of Dutch winger Crysencio Summerville from Leeds United and Ollie Watkins from Aston Villa.

This marks Martinelli’s third club in his career, having started at Ituano in Brazil before moving directly to Arsenal in the summer of 2019.

Martinelli has also represented Brazil at the most recent World Cup and now embarks on a new chapter with Al Hilal in the Saudi Pro League.
