Al-Nassr and Al-Ettifaq coaches praise players after hard-fought clash

Al-Nassr head coach Ange Postecoglou and Al-Ettifaq head coach Arthur Papas held a press conference following their teams' match at IGO Stadium in Dammam on Tuesday evening, which ended with Al-Nassr winning 3-2 in the third round of the Saudi Pro League (Roshn League) for the 2026-2027 season.

Postecoglou praised his players for their performance and their ability to come from behind and secure victory despite being reduced to ten men, noting the difficult circumstances faced during the match. He highlighted the team's strong attacking options, especially on the wings.

He added that every player who took part contributed to the win, whether starting or coming off the bench, and pointed out that goalkeeper Al-Aqidi is currently injured.

For his part, Al-Ettifaq coach Arthur Papas said his team was unable to maintain the required attacking pressure in the second half, stressing the importance of learning from mistakes.

He emphasized the need to take responsibility and work with the available squad to achieve better results in upcoming matches.
