Lamine Yamal and Haaland top list of world’s most valuable footballers

Spain’s Lamine Yamal and Norway’s Erling Haaland have topped the list of the world’s most valuable footballers, with each player reaching a market value of €220 million, according to Spanish outlet AS Futbol, following the conclusion of the 2026 World Cup.

The report noted that Yamal’s World Cup victory significantly boosted his market value, while Haaland’s historic achievement brought him to the same figure. Both players have become the first in football history to surpass the €200 million mark.

According to the report, the market value of both Yamal and Haaland increased by €20 million after the tournament, reflecting ongoing growth in the football transfer market.

Changes in the world’s most valuable players list

The report highlighted that Morgan Rogers’ transfer to Chelsea was valued at €137 million, making it one of the Premier League’s biggest deals. Kylian Mbappé’s market value also rose to €200 million after his standout performance for France, scoring 10 goals at the World Cup.

The list saw a major leap for France’s Michael Olise, now at Bayern Munich, who set a new record for assists in the latest World Cup and became the world’s fourth most valuable player at €170 million. England’s Jude Bellingham ranked fifth at €160 million.

Ranking of other top stars

AS Futbol reported that the market values of Elliot Anderson and Julián Álvarez rose to €120 million and €110 million, respectively. Vinícius Júnior maintained his seventh-place position, just behind Pedri by €10 million.

Meanwhile, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo currently have market values of €15 million and €10 million, respectively.
