Najran governor launches development projects at Al-Okhdood Sports Club

Najran Governor Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed inaugurated several development projects at Al-Okhdood Sports Club on Tuesday at his office, in the presence of Sultan bin Hassan bin Shayea, director general of the Ministry of Sports branch in the region, club chairman Sami bin Hudaish Al-Fadel, and several board members.

The projects include upgrades to the main and secondary stadiums, renovation of locker rooms and referees’ rooms, improvements to the main stadium entrance, sports committee facilities, the media center, the administrative building, and outdoor fields.

Additional works cover enhancements to external walkways, parking areas, sports halls, the club’s swimming pool, and player accommodation.

Leadership support for sports

The governor highlighted the importance of the leadership’s support for the sports sector in Saudi Arabia, stressing the need to continue developing the sports environment in Najran and to strengthen cooperation among relevant entities to boost the region’s presence in the sports scene and showcase young talent.

For his part, club chairman Sami Al-Fadel expressed appreciation for the support received by sports clubs in the region, noting that it has helped overcome challenges and reaffirming the club’s commitment to further raising the standard of sports in Najran.
