Saudi sports clubs reach 73% Saudization since support strategy launch

AIAbdulaziz Al-Musaad, Deputy Minister of Sports for Sports and Youth Affairs, revealed that the total allocations for the Club Support Strategy initiatives include SAR 953 million for the direct support initiative, SAR 517 million for the multi-sports initiative, and SAR 541 million for the governance program.
Speaking at the Ministry of Sports' regular press conference, Al-Musaad said the governance program involves 103 clubs. The fan support initiative is allocated SAR 99 million, while the commercial revenue growth initiative receives SAR 54 million.
He noted that the commercial revenue growth initiative will be part of the Club Support Program Strategy for the 2026-2027 season, with allocations of SAR 1 million for Roshn league clubs and SAR 500,000 for Yelo league clubs.
Al-Musaad added that any club meeting all the requirements of the Club Support Strategy can receive between SAR 100 million and SAR 120 million.
Regarding Saudization, Al-Musaad stated that the Saudization rate in sports clubs has reached 73% since the launch of the Club Support Strategy in 2019.
