Al-Nassr coach Postecoglou laments draw with Al-Khaleej as Gomez praises players

Al-Nassr head coach Ange Postecoglou said the match against Al-Khaleej was challenging, noting that conceding a goal just before halftime made things even more difficult. He added that his team improved in the second half and managed to secure a draw.

Postecoglou expressed his dissatisfaction with the result after Al-Nassr failed to claim all three points. He pointed to fixture congestion, uneven rest periods, and playing in hot and humid conditions as factors that contributed to player fatigue, but stressed that his squad gave their best effort.

On the other side, Al-Khaleej coach Jose Gomes expressed regret over conceding the equalizer, saying his team played a strong match and defended well, but that certain details and mistakes allowed Al-Nassr back into the game.

Gomes praised his players’ spirit, explaining that the upcoming break will give the team a chance to rest, address errors, and play two friendly matches in preparation for a stronger return when the league resumes.
