Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki re-elected president of Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation until 2029

The 15th General Assembly of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation, hosted by the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee today in Taif, has re-elected Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal as president for the 2026–2029 term.

In his remarks following the announcement, Prince Abdulaziz expressed his gratitude to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Prime Minister, for their ongoing support and empowerment of the federation’s work.

Prince Abdulaziz also voiced his appreciation for the confidence of the General Assembly members, emphasizing the commitment to continued collaboration in advancing sports across the Islamic world and strengthening solidarity and cooperation among the national Olympic committees of member states.

New board of directors announced

The new board of directors includes Prince Fahd bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed as vice president representing the host country, Nawal El Moutawakel and Gennady Golovkin as vice presidents, along with other board members.

The meeting was attended by Prince Abdullah bin Fahd and Adwa Al-Arifi as representatives of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee.
