Roshn Saudi League referees continue training camp in Spain

Referees for the Roshn Saudi League are continuing their overseas training camp in the Spanish city of Vitoria, which will run until August 9, as part of their technical and physical preparation program ahead of the 2026-2027 football season.

The referees began their daily schedule with a theoretical lecture delivered by FIFA instructor Milorad Mažić, who reviewed the latest amendments to the Laws of the Game, methods for standardizing their interpretation and application, and discussed several practical refereeing scenarios in preparation for the new season.

The program concluded with an intensive fitness session that included speed, endurance, and agility drills, all aimed at boosting the referees' physical readiness before the start of competitions.

The camp includes 43 referees—14 main referees and 29 assistant referees—and features a series of theoretical lectures and practical exercises covering key refereeing topics. These include updates to the Laws of the Game, VAR technology training, handball offenses, tactical fouls, positioning and reading the game, match management, as well as tests in English language and the rules of football.
