Kuwait to host Saudi Super Cup as four clubs vie for title in December

Kuwait will host the 13th edition of the Saudi Super Cup for the 2026/2027 football season, following Monday's announcement by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation that the tournament will once again take place outside the Kingdom.

The competition will be held from December 19 to 23, with the draw to determine the semi-final matchups scheduled for October 14.

Four clubs will compete: Al-Nassr, Al-Ahli, Al-Kholood, and Al-Qadsiah. All matches will be played at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium in Kuwait, which has a capacity of around 60,000 spectators.

Hosting the Saudi Super Cup abroad is not unprecedented, as previous editions have been staged in London, Abu Dhabi, and Hong Kong.

Al-Ahli are the reigning champions, having defeated Al-Nassr 5-3 on penalties after a 2-2 draw in the most recent final.
