Saudi karateka Sanad Sufyani reaches Asian Games 2026 kumite final

Saudi national karate team member Sanad Sufyani has qualified for the men’s over 84kg kumite final at the 20th Asian Games, which will be hosted by Nagoya, Japan in 2026.

Sufyani secured his place in the final after defeating Indonesia’s Daniel 8-2 in the semifinal, guaranteeing a shot at the gold medal.

This achievement continues Saudi Arabia’s strong presence in continental karate competitions, with Sufyani aiming to add another gold to the Kingdom’s Asian Games record.
