Al-Ittihad hosts Al-Hazem in Roshn Pro League third round

Al-Ittihad will host Al-Hazem on Friday evening at King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, as part of the third round of the 2026-2027 Saudi Pro League season, known as the Roshn Pro League.

The Jeddah-based side enters the match under German coach Jens Wissing, who took charge in July 2026 on a contract running until 2028, succeeding Portuguese manager Sergio Conceicao. Al-Ittihad drew 1-1 with Al-Kholood in the opening round, defeated Al-Najma 3-0 in the King’s Cup to advance to the Round of 16, and secured a narrow 1-0 win over Al-Qadsiah in the second round despite playing part of the match with ten men.

Al-Hazem, led by Tunisian coach Jalel Kadri, is seeking to return to winning ways after a defeat in the previous round. The team began its campaign with a 2-1 victory over Abha, then lost 1-0 to Al-Driya, and progressed to the King’s Cup Round of 16 after a 3-2 win against Al-Bukayriyah.

The match carries significant importance for both sides. Al-Ittihad is looking to continue collecting points and strengthen its position at the top of the table, while Al-Hazem hopes to secure a positive result and return from Jeddah with points.
