Al-Ittihad intensifies talks to sign Morocco’s Ounahi

A source close to Moroccan international Azzedine Ounahi has revealed significant and unexpected developments in ongoing negotiations with Al-Ittihad, as the club seeks to sign him during the current summer transfer window.

Interest in Ounahi has grown following his outstanding performances with Girona in La Liga, where he made 20 appearances and scored five goals.

The same source told Ajel that "negotiations between Al-Ittihad and Ounahi are currently underway and have intensified over the past two weeks," adding that "Ounahi is still considering the offer presented to him."

The source indicated that the main obstacle in Al-Ittihad’s pursuit of Ounahi is Girona’s insistence on receiving the full transfer fee in a single upfront payment, while the Saudi club prefers to pay the amount in three installments.

Al-Ittihad is aiming to strengthen its squad with top talent, and Ounahi would be a major addition thanks to his extensive European experience and technical skills.
