Al-Taawoun and Al-Rayyan coaches declare readiness for AFC Champions League clash

Al-Taawoun coach Vuk Rašović of Serbia and Al-Rayyan coach Vicente Moreno of Spain have confirmed their teams are ready for Wednesday's AFC Champions League 2 encounter, expressing their ambition to win and continue competing in the tournament.

Speaking at a press conference held Tuesday at Al-Taawoun's media center in Buraidah, Rašović said his side has high ambitions in the Asian competition despite recent setbacks in the league. He noted that the technical staff is working to achieve balance in performance and results, aiming to progress in all three competitions the team is participating in.

Rašović expressed his happiness to be part of the tournament and optimism that Al-Taawoun can overcome its current challenges. He emphasized his respect for Al-Rayyan and said his players are motivated to give their best and secure victory.

Al-Taawoun player Muteb Al-Mufarrij also voiced respect for Al-Rayyan and said his team is determined to claim all three points with the support of their fans, whom he described as a crucial part of the club's journey.

He pointed out that changes in Al-Taawoun's squad this season and the short time working with the current coaching staff have affected the team's performance. He affirmed the players' determination to improve and advance in the Asian competition step by step, aiming to go as far as possible.

On the other side, Al-Rayyan coach Vicente Moreno acknowledged the difficulty of facing Al-Taawoun, noting that the Saudi team's recent results and coaching changes do not diminish its strength. He added that he has previously faced Rašović and respects his coaching abilities.

Moreno said his team is prepared for all tactical scenarios in the match and that all players are available despite a congested fixture schedule. He stressed that the coaching staff is keen to manage playing time among the squad.

Al-Rayyan player Ahmed Al-Menhali described Al-Taawoun as a strong team despite its recent results, citing the impressive performances they delivered last season. He predicted a tough match and said technical and tactical matters are the responsibility of the coaching staff.
