Klopp seeks to convince Bentaleb to play for Germany over Morocco

Media reports indicate that Germany coach Jurgen Klopp has met with striker Younes Bentaleb to persuade him to play for the national team instead of Morocco.

Bentaleb caught the eye in the Bundesliga opener, scoring a hat-trick as his club Eintracht Frankfurt drew with Union Berlin earlier this week.

Bentaleb previously played for Morocco’s under-15 team, but has yet to join the senior national squad.

The report added that Klopp is eager to include the 22-year-old Moroccan, who is eligible for Germany through his mother, in the national team.
