Gulf Super Cup between Duhok and Al-Rayyan postponed

The Gulf Football Federation has postponed the 2026 Gulf Super Cup match between Iraq’s Duhok and Qatar’s Al-Rayyan to a later date, after it was initially scheduled for August 13.

In an official statement, the federation clarified that the postponement does not affect the venue, confirming the match will still be held in Duhok province, Iraq, as previously announced.

The federation added that the new date and further organizational details will be announced later in coordination with the relevant authorities.

Duhok will participate as champions of the inaugural Gulf Champions League, while Al-Rayyan qualified after winning the tournament’s second edition.

The Gulf Super Cup is among the new competitions launched by the Gulf Football Federation as part of efforts to develop club tournaments and boost the regional profile of Gulf football.
