Manchester City thrash Liverpool 3-0 in Premier League clash

Manchester City claimed a resounding 3-0 win over hosts Liverpool on Sunday evening at Anfield, in the sixth round of the Premier League.

The first half ended goalless, but the match turned in the 62nd minute when Liverpool’s Ryan Gravenberch was sent off after receiving a second yellow card, leaving the home side with ten men.

Haaland opens scoring as City cruise to victory

Manchester City capitalized on Liverpool’s numerical disadvantage, with Erling Haaland breaking the deadlock in the 65th minute. Substitute Jeremy Doku added a second in the 68th, before Rayan Cherki sealed the win with a third in the 78th minute.

The result strengthens Manchester City’s lead at the top of the Premier League table with 18 points, while Liverpool suffered another defeat and dropped to ninth place with 9 points.
