Al-Ahli accepts resignation of chairman Khaled Al-Ghamdi

Al-Ahli Football Club has officially accepted the resignation of its chairman, Khaled Al-Ghamdi.

In a statement, the club expressed its gratitude and appreciation for Al-Ghamdi's contributions during his tenure, which was marked by significant achievements.

Under Al-Ghamdi's leadership, Al-Ahli secured major successes, including winning two AFC Champions League titles in the 2024–2025 and 2025–2026 seasons, as well as the 2025 Saudi Super Cup.

Khaled Al-Ghamdi had earlier announced his departure from the position in an emotional message posted on his personal account on X.

Al-Ghamdi wrote: "To my beloved Al-Ahli fans, after three years as chairman of this great club—a period I cherish and am proud of in my professional career."
