Al-Ittihad cruise past Al-Najma to reach King’s Cup last 16

Al-Ittihad secured their place in the round of 16 of the King’s Cup after defeating hosts Al-Najma 3-0 in their round of 32 match on Tuesday evening.

Georges Ilenikhena opened the scoring for Al-Ittihad in the 16th minute, firing a powerful left-footed shot from the edge of the box to put his team ahead.

Ilenikhena doubled the lead in the 31st minute, netting his second goal of the night and Al-Ittihad’s second, as the first half ended with the visitors two goals up.

Al-Ittihad continued to dominate in the second half, with Danilo Pereira adding a third in the 56th minute, heading home from a cross inside the penalty area.

Al-Ittihad maintained their advantage until the final whistle to book their spot in the round of 16 of the King’s Cup.
