Barcelona close to sealing two-year deal for Al Hilal's Cancelo

Spanish club Barcelona is close to reaching a final agreement with Al Hilal to sign Portuguese full-back Joao Cancelo on a permanent deal, following a successful loan spell in the second half of last season.

According to Catalan newspaper Sport, Barcelona expects to complete Cancelo's transfer on a two-year contract, with negotiations with Al Hilal having made significant progress in recent weeks.

The report added that Barcelona had already agreed personal terms with Cancelo at the end of last season, but some tax-related details delayed the finalization of the deal.

Sources also confirmed that signing Cancelo has been a top priority for both head coach Hansi Flick and sporting director Deco, given the Portuguese player's impressive performances during his six-month loan at Camp Nou.
