Al Hilal thrash Al Taawoun 6-0 as Martinelli nets hat-trick

Al Hilal returned to winning ways in the Roshn Saudi League with a commanding 6-0 victory over Al Taawoun on Saturday evening in the seventh round, moving to the top of the table with 18 points.

Hilal asserted their dominance early, finishing the first half three goals ahead. Ollie Watkins opened the scoring in the ninth minute, followed by two goals from Gabriel Martinelli in the 18th and 43rd minutes.

The goal spree continued after the break, with Watkins netting his second in the 50th minute. Martinelli completed his hat-trick just three minutes later, and Sultan Mandash rounded off the scoring in the 75th minute.

The emphatic win helped Hilal bounce back from their previous defeat to Neom at home, while Al Taawoun's struggles continued as they remained on three points, dropping to seventeenth place in the league standings.
