Roshn League referees continue training camp in Spain

Referees for the Roshn Saudi Pro League are continuing their overseas training camp in the city of Vitoria, Spain, which runs until August 9 as part of their technical and physical preparation program ahead of the 2026-2027 football season.

The referees began their daily schedule with a theoretical lecture delivered by FIFA instructor Milorad Mažić, who reviewed the latest updates to the Laws of the Game, methods for standardizing their interpretation and application, and discussed several practical refereeing scenarios in preparation for the new season.

The program concluded with an intensive fitness session, including speed, endurance, and agility drills, as part of efforts to enhance the referees’ physical readiness before the start of competitions.

The camp includes 43 referees—14 main referees and 29 assistant referees. The program features a series of theoretical lectures and practical exercises covering key refereeing topics, such as updates to the Laws of the Game, training on Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology, handball rulings, tactical fouls, positioning and reading play, match management, as well as tests in English and the rules of football.
