Al-Ahli coach says team ready for Al-Wasl in AFC Champions League

Al-Ahli head coach Marino Pušić has confirmed his team is determined to maintain their strong form as they face the UAE's Al-Wasl on Monday in the second round of the AFC Champions League Elite stage.

Pušić noted that Al-Ahli delivered an impressive performance in their last match, defeating Al-Fateh 4-0, and aims to build on that result against Al-Wasl, highlighting the Emirati side's particular strength when playing at home.

The Dutch coach added that Al-Ahli are seeking their first win in the tournament, hoping to make up for a disappointing 1-1 draw with Uzbekistan's Pakhtakor at Al-Inma Stadium. He confirmed the team arrived in Dubai two days before the match to complete preparations and boost player readiness.

Pušić also emphasized that every match has its own circumstances, and the technical staff approaches each game individually, always focusing on the next challenge.
