Saudi Football Federation holds coordination meeting with King’s Cup clubs

The Competitions Department of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation held a virtual coordination meeting today with representatives of clubs and relevant departments participating in the King’s Cup for the 2026-2027 sports season, with officials from the Ministry of Sports’ Operations Department also attending.

The meeting reviewed the tournament’s regulations, technical and administrative aspects, and explained the process for registering administrative staff through approved systems. It also covered match operations requirements, coordination mechanisms between clubs and working committees, as well as the organization of match observers and coordinators, referees, media procedures, marketing and commercial obligations, and operational requirements for sports facilities. Coordination with related entities was discussed to help standardize procedures and enhance organizational readiness.

The meeting concluded by addressing club representatives’ inquiries and emphasizing the importance of adhering to regulations and instructions to ensure the competition runs according to the highest organizational standards.

The 2026-2027 King’s Cup tournament is scheduled to begin on August 16 with the Round of 32 matches.
