Negotiations between Al-Shabab and Al-Nassr for goalkeeper Nawaf Al-Aqidi have stalled over the past two days, despite Al-Shabab having made an offer for the player, according to sports analyst Emad Al-Sayegh.

Speaking on the program "Malaeb" with Faisal Al-Jafn on Al Arabiya FM, Al-Sayegh said Al-Shabab submitted a bid to sign Al-Aqidi, but talks have come to a halt in the last two days.

He revealed that Al-Nassr would pay half of Nawaf Al-Aqidi's salary at Al-Shabab for the first season only, while Al-Shabab would cover the other half. He explained this arrangement is due to Al-Nassr's interest in acquiring Al-Shabab player Hammam Al-Hamami.

Al-Sarami: Al-Aqidi's position remains unclear

In the same context, sports analyst Saud Al-Sarami said on the same program that Nawaf Al-Aqidi's main issue is the lack of clarity regarding his future with Al-Nassr.

Al-Sarami said: "The problem with Nawaf Al-Aqidi is that his stance changes daily—one day he wants to renew, the next he does not. One day he wants to be a starter, then he doesn't, then he says he is injured. The player is unclear and does not give a definitive answer, sometimes yes, sometimes no. This is why his situation remains unresolved."
