Manchester City sign Brazilian winger Alan Elias until 2031

Manchester City announced on Thursday the signing of Brazilian winger Alan Elias from Palmeiras on a contract running until the summer of 2031, pending completion of his international clearance.

Alan Elias, 22, is the club’s latest signing of the current transfer window, following the arrivals of Elliot Anderson, Jeremy Monga, Geronimo Rulli, and Ayoub Bouaddi.

Player profile and career

Alan primarily plays as a right winger but is also capable of featuring in midfield or as a second striker. He has previously played as a full-back for his former club Palmeiras, the current leaders of the Brazilian league.

Alan is the latest talent to move from Palmeiras to Manchester City, following defender Vitor Reis, who joined the English club in January 2025, and Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus, who made the switch in 2017.
