Atletico Madrid sign Jonathan David on loan from Juventus

Atletico Madrid and Juventus have reached an agreement for the loan of Jonathan David, with the Canadian striker set to join the Spanish club for the 2026/2027 season, according to Atletico's official website.

Jonathan David first signed with Gent in 2018, where he began to showcase his attacking talent in Belgium. After scoring 37 goals in two seasons with Gent, he moved to French side Lille.

David spent five seasons with Lille, making 232 appearances, scoring 109 goals, and providing 31 assists. He won both the Ligue 1 title and the French Super Cup with the club.

This performance led to his transfer to Juventus in the summer of 2025.
