Aston Villa defeat Club Brugge 3-2 in UEFA Champions League

Aston Villa secured a 3-2 victory over Belgian hosts Club Brugge today at Jan Breydel Stadium in Bruges, as part of the UEFA Champions League group stage.

John McGinn opened the scoring for Aston Villa in the 11th minute, before Hugo Vetlesen equalized for Club Brugge in the 19th. Emiliano Buendía and Nicolas Jackson added Villa's second and third goals in the 22nd and 43rd minutes. Nicolo Tresoldi reduced the deficit for the home side with a penalty in the 61st minute.
