Mohammed Al-Owais hails return to Al-Hilal: ‘My first family’

Saudi national team goalkeeper Mohammed Al-Owais has expressed his immense happiness at returning to his former club Al-Hilal, just one year after his departure.

Al-Owais left Al-Hilal in May 2025 to join Al-Ula, which competes in the First Division League (Yelo League).

Speaking exclusively to Ajel, Al-Owais said: “I am extremely happy and proud to be back with my family at Al-Hilal. Joining this great club, with its constant ambitions, is a joy for any player. I thank the management and technical staff for their trust.”

He added, “My ambitions with Al-Hilal are always high, just like those of our loyal fans. We will work together as one team, alongside the coaching and administrative staff, to deliver the best performances and win all domestic and continental titles to bring joy to Al-Hilal supporters.”

Al-Owais’s return to the ‘Blue Wave’ crowns his distinguished career, especially after his standout performances with the Saudi national team at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where he established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the tournament’s group stage.
