Saudi midfielder Sultan Mandash: determined to secure Gulf Cup qualification against Oman

Saudi Arabia midfielder Sultan Mandash has underlined the significance and difficulty of the upcoming clash between the Green Falcons and Oman on Saturday, as part of the second round of the 27th Arabian Gulf Cup.

All eyes in the Gulf football community will be on the highly anticipated encounter between Saudi Arabia and Oman on Saturday evening at Al-Inma Stadium, in the second round of the group stage of the Gulf Cup, hosted by Saudi Arabia.

Speaking exclusively to Ajel ahead of the team’s final training session, Mandash said: “Our match against Oman is hugely important and a key milestone in our tournament journey. We have put our first game behind us and are now fully focused on delivering a strong performance worthy of the Saudi national team. We are confident that, with the support of our fans, we can secure victory and keep moving forward.”

He added: “Our clear goal in tomorrow’s match against Oman is to win and claim all three points to guarantee official qualification for the next round. We know it will not be an easy game against a strong opponent, but we are determined to seal our place early and continue our campaign with confidence towards the title, making our fans proud.”

Saudi Arabia began their campaign with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Kuwait, while Oman drew 1-1 with Iraq in their opening match.
