AlUla claim third straight win to top First Division football league

AlUla moved to the top of the Saudi First Division football league at the end of the third round, after defeating visitors Al-Raed 2-0 in a match held this evening at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Stadium in Madinah.

Both goals came in the first half, with Dutch striker Sylla Sow opening the scoring from the penalty spot in the 32nd minute. Honduran forward Romell Quioto doubled AlUla’s lead in the 38th minute. The second half saw both teams battle for control, but AlUla maintained their advantage to secure a 2-0 victory.

With this win, AlUla raised their tally to 9 points, claiming the top spot in the standings and achieving their third consecutive victory under Portuguese coach José Peseiro. Al-Raed remain on 3 points from three matches, sitting 13th in the table and looking to recover in the coming rounds.

AlUla will visit Damac next Tuesday, while Al-Raed will host Al-Jeel on Wednesday evening as part of the fourth round of the 2026-2027 First Division season, which features 18 teams competing for top positions and promotion spots.
