Angel Di Maria hints at retirement after Rosario Central exit from Copa Libertadores

Argentine football star Angel Di Maria has hinted that he may retire soon, following Rosario Central's elimination from the Copa Libertadores in the round of 16 by Brazil's Corinthians.

The first leg ended in a 0-0 draw, but in the return match, the Brazilian side scored the winning and qualifying goal in the 80th minute.

After the match, Di Maria said: "We had many chances to score, but it wasn't the game we hoped for. We struggled a lot and couldn't take advantage of our opportunities."

Di Maria is 38 years old, and his contract with Rosario Central runs until mid-2027.
