The 2026 FIFA World Cup recorded a record-breaking attendance of 6,810,966 fans, making it the most attended edition in the tournament’s history.

According to the tournament report, the 23rd edition, hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico over 39 days, featured 104 matches played across 16 stadiums, with 48 teams participating for the first time.

This unprecedented turnout was matched by a surge in goals, with 308 scored throughout the tournament, making it the largest and most prominent World Cup to date.
