Real Madrid backs players' right to free expression after Ceuta solidarity controversy

Real Madrid has affirmed its players' right to freely express their opinions after Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior stirred controversy by concealing a message of solidarity with the people of Ceuta.

Players from both Real Madrid and Elche wore shirts bearing the slogan "We are all Kabayyas," with "Kabayyas" referring to residents of Ceuta, according to Al-Sharq.

Both Vinicius and Mbappe raised their shirts to chest level, obscuring the message, while Ibrahima Konate simply held his shirt in his hands.

In recent weeks, there has been widespread support in Spain for the people of Ceuta, following the illegal entry of more than 70,000 people from Morocco about two months ago.
