Trincão credits teamwork for standout performance against Al Wasl

Portuguese forward Francisco Trincão, who plays for Al-Ahli, expressed his great happiness with his team's valuable away victory over Al Wasl of the UAE in their Monday night encounter at Zabeel Stadium in Dubai.

Al-Ahli began their continental campaign in impressive fashion, clinching their first win in the AFC Elite Champions League after a strong performance that saw them overcome Al Wasl 3-1.

Speaking to Ajel after the match, Trincão said: "I'm very happy with the level I showed today, but the most important thing is achieving the win and supporting my teammates to reach our goal. We demonstrated strong character and great team spirit—these are the qualities that define teams aiming for trophies."

He added: "After drawing our first match at home, we had no choice but to make up for it and secure all three points in this game, and we succeeded thanks to everyone's combined efforts."

The former Sporting Lisbon star scored Al-Ahli's second goal in the 57th minute with a powerful left-footed shot from inside the box that found the far corner of the Al Wasl goalkeeper's net.
